Mesoclisis

With the future and the conditional, formal European Portuguese places the pronoun inside the verb: telefoná-lo-ei, telefoná-lo-ia. Everyday speech often avoids it, typically through the proclisis that words such as não attract: não o telefonarei.

Future
eu telefoná-lo-ei
tu telefoná-lo-ás
ele/ela telefoná-lo-á
nós telefoná-lo-emos
vós telefoná-lo-eis
eles/elas telefoná-lo-ão
Conditional
eu telefoná-lo-ia
tu telefoná-lo-ias
ele/ela telefoná-lo-ia
nós telefoná-lo-íamos
vós telefoná-lo-íeis
eles/elas telefoná-lo-iam
